Executive Director - Tanya Oliva

Tanya Oliva joins BC Social Venture Partners as Executive Director in February 2013, following 15 years’ experience in all aspects of corporate community involvement.  Using her wealth of expertise, Tanya has established a number of strategic efforts including corporate giving programs, signature programs, community partnerships, and employee engagement initiatives that meet both philanthropic and business objectives. 

Tanya has worked with an array of leading companies and non-profits in BC, Alberta and Ontario, Canada including Labatt Breweries, Bell, KPMG, Coast Capital Savings, United Way, Kids Help Phone, Easter Seals Society, Athletics for Kids, SFU Venture Connection, Fraser Health Authority, Volunteer Richmond, among many others.

Tanya shares SVP’s passion for connecting the business and non-profit sectors and brings tremendous energy, enthusiasm and leadership to her new role in accelerating our mission to create positive social change.

  

Program Associate - Amy Yeung

Amy Yeung has been part of BC Social Venture Partners since November 2011. Thanks to the generosity of SpencerCreo foundation, Amy assists the Executive Director with numerous tasks, including coordinating all aspects of our database management.  Given her extensive events management background, Amy also helps to design and coordinate the numerous Partner social and educational events as well as a variety of Grantee workshops.  

In addition, Amy also works as the Manager of Canadian Operations for Project Somos Children's Village in Guatemala.  

Prior to working in the not-for-profit world, Amy has worked as a corporate event manager for The Economist in Hong Kong as well as for World Trade Group Events in Toronto.
